Dave Mustaine - Lead Guitar

Co-Founder of Metallica

Dave joined the band thinking he was going to take them to the top. He was mostly the active one on stage, talking to the crowd, etc. He wrote many riffs for Metallica, particularly his baby, The Mechanix, an early version of The Four Horsemen. He was eventually kicked out of the band for constantly over-drinking and just being a pain in the ass.

Ron McGovney - Bass

Co-Founder of Metallica

Ron was Metallica's first bassist. He rarely contributed; he just followed the lead of Hetfield and Mustaine on stage. He just wasn't as enthusiastic as the others, and was quickly fired and replaced by Cliff Burton.
